What is the New York Working Families Party?

The New York Working Families Party (WFP) is a political party built by and for working people. We are a multiracial, grassroots movement of union members, parents, tenants, people of faith, and everyday New Yorkers who believe in one simple idea: government should work for the people, not the wealthy and well-connected.

For more than two decades, WFP has led the fight to elect champions like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Zohran Mamdani, Brad Lander, Tish James and Jumaane Williams— and to win landmark victories like paid sick days and tenant protections.

In New York, we have the chance to vote for Working Families Party candidates. A vote for Kathy Hochul on the Working Families ballot line (Row D) is a vote for an affordable New York.
