The New York Working Families Party (WFP) is a political party built by and for working people. We are a multiracial, grassroots movement of union members, parents, tenants, people of faith, and everyday New Yorkers who believe in one simple idea: government should work for the people, not the wealthy and well-connected.
A vote for Working Families Party candidates is a vote to tax the ultra-rich to invest in universal childcare, affordable housing, healthcare, and a state where working people win.
WHAT IS FUSION VOTING?
New York is one of only a handful of states that still allows fusion voting. That means more than one political party can endorse the same candidate, and voters can choose which ballot line to support them on. The candidate’s total number of votes include the sum of the votes they receive on the ballot lines that they appear on. In other words, if a candidate appears on the Democratic Party ballot line and the Working Families Party ballot line, those votes fuse – and all count towards the candidate’s final vote count.
When you look at your ballot, on the Democratic Line you will find all the democrats. On the republican and conservative lines you will find MAGA candidates. And on the Working Families Line you will find candidates who are committed to delivering real solutions for workers and their families, not corporate interests.
